The Challenge

Our client’s leadership team approached us with a request to improve visibility into procurement performance and outcomes. In their current state, the organization faced:

limited visibility into key procurement metrics and KPIs

These circumstances prompted our customer to seek our expertise to design and implement a comprehensive procurement dashboard solution that would enable data-driven decision-making, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Our Approach
Phase 1

We assessed the current state of procurement data availability, reporting practices, and stakeholder needs. This included reviewing existing data sources, Spend Under Management (SUM), savings tracking methods, supplier data, and operational KPIs. We identified critical metrics aligned to business objectives, evaluated data quality, and defined a standardized set of procurement performance indicators.

Phase 2

We designed a suite of procurement dashboards tailored to executive, category, and operational stakeholders. These dashboards provided visibility into metrics such as savings, spend trends, compliance, supplier performance, cycle times, and progress against annual goals. We established standardized definitions, reporting cadence, and governance to ensure consistency, accuracy, and repeatability across all views.

Phase 3

We implemented the dashboards and embedded ongoing performance measurement routines within the procurement organization. This included training teams on dashboard usage, establishing periodic performance reviews, and enabling continuous tracking of progress versus targets. The dashboards became a central tool for decision-making, prioritization, and accountability across procurement initiatives.
